For 14 years Rod worked as a pastry chef before deciding to give up the apron and move into sales, selling gingerbread with Austin National Foods. While there he developed a passion for sales which saw Rod move to a local Geelong cake and pastry company to continue his work in sales. After several years with this company he wanted to increase his experience and knowledge and made a move into the food service industry with a competitor food service company.
